PROTEST: Mardi Gras Parade of Radioactive Wildlife! Tues in Flagstaff

  • Tuesday, March 8 · 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Meet at Flagstaff City Hall Lawn before 5:30 on Fat Tuesday

~DRESS AS RADIOACTIVE WILDLIFE FOR FAT TUESDAY~
    ~~Support the Propsoed 20-year Mining Ban~~
    ~on 1 MILLION ACRES Surrounding Grand Canyon~

Tell the Bureau of Land Management that this is WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT — and the wildlife, too! The Bureau of Land Management is holding a public meeting on Fat Tuesday, so let’s show solidarity with those living near the Gulf mining disaster, and celebrate life and wildness with a Mardi Gras parade!

Please be positive and encouraging, and show your support!

We’ll leave City Hall at 5:30 & walk together to High Country Conference Center, where the public meeting will be from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. There, you can learn about the amazing possibility of protecting Grand Canyon’s air, land, and water from new Uranium and metals mines. The only way to prevent a mining disaster is to NOT mine!

PLEASE try to RSVP, so we know how many people to expect, and call Alicyn if you have questions: (928) 774-6514. ***Invite your friends!***
